Cricket – rules and how to play
In Cricket only the numbers 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15 and the bull count. You have to hit each number three times (close it) and score at least as many points as your opponents.
How it is played
- A single counts as 1 mark on the number, a double as 2, a treble as 3. On the bull, the outer bull (25) counts as 1 mark and the bullseye as 2.
- Once you have hit a number three times, it is closed for you.
- Every further hit on your closed number scores its value in points, as long as at least one opponent has not closed it yet.
- Once all players have closed a number, it no longer scores for anyone.
Key rules and variants
- You win by closing all the numbers while having at least as many points as every other player.
- Cut-throat: points you score on an open number go to the opponents who still have it open. The player with the fewest points at the end wins.
- Extended: besides 20 to 15 and the bull, the numbers 14, 13 and 12 are played too.
