Killer – rules and how to play

In Killer every player has their own number and several lives. The player who knocks out the others one by one and is the last with at least one life left wins.

How it is played

  • Each player gets their own number from 1 to 20, every number is used only once, and everyone starts with 3 lives.
  • You become a killer by hitting the double of your own number.
  • As a killer you take a life from an opponent whenever you hit the double of their number.
  • Anyone with no lives left is out. The last player with lives left wins.

Key rules and variants

  • Only doubles count. Singles and triples score nothing, and as long as you are not a killer yet, you cannot attack anyone.
  • Numbers are either handed out at random or thrown by the players: the first dart on a number that is still free makes it your own.
  • Variant “everyone a killer”: everyone can attack from the start, no double of your own number is needed.
  • Variant life regeneration: a killer wins a life back with the double of their own number (up to the starting lives plus 2).

Playing it in DartEyeQ
